My only story to compete is the time I, along with several other men, snuck into the back row of a wedding the day of the 2006 Bama game, discouraged that we hadn't been able to listen to the conclusion. After the vows, and as one of the grandmothers was being escorted out, she stage-whispered "The Hogs won!" and spontaneous but discreet cheers erupted.

Brian, somebody really needs to set her straight. Regardless of her claims, I would have to question her Hogdom because of this.BVChttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01563258898359831192noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3068483298977287960.post-49695853002965369322009-09-14T11:33:39.691-05:002009-09-14T11:33:39.691-05:00I've got a wedding during the Georgia game...a...I've got a wedding during the Georgia game...and she's a huge razorback fan. I'm not happy.Brianhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15124947997085731291noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3068483298977287960.post-8593521465318548132009-09-13T22:23:28.389-05:002009-09-13T22:23:28.389-05:00Your posts are getting better and better!
And f...Your posts are getting better and better!

And for the record:

1. I have actually DONE a tailgate at a wedding.
2. I have been "in" a wedding where the entire wedding party was glued to the minister's tiny 4 inch black and white TV, showing an Arkansas/Auburn game---and to their credit, the bride and bridesmaids, sequestered in the Bride's Room, kept sending emissaries to keep the bride updated on the score.
3. I was married once. A long time ago. She hated sports. Divorce is not a good thing, but it can have certain advantages.
4. You are young, male, and stupid. I am old, male, and stupid. One of the big differences is: Old, male, and stupid needs a weekend in between the trips to rest up, hang out at home, catch up on things, and mainly rest up. Early bye weeks are not helpful here. Along about weekend 4 or 5, old, male and stupid begins to get tired, while young, male and stupid can keep going.
5. As usual, this post is all about YOU. What about MEEEEEEEE? What about MY inconvenience?!?! ;-)

Excellent post. Keep this stuff up and you can graduate some day to old, male, and stupid ;-)Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06584588658233756298noreply@blogger.com
